Proyecto Peru organizes weekly free activities in the Spanish school. The activities will be fun and sometimes you will also learn something. The main objective is to get to know other students, volunteers and interns with Proyecto Peru in a social atmosphere. There is not a fixed program of the activities, but these are some of the most popular activities we organize.
Welcome Dinner
With our welcome dinner, students will have the chance to enjoy a meal with the staff of the Spanish school and the other students, volunteers and interns in a local restaurant.
Normally we go to a typical Peruvian restaurant for the dinner. Some of the NGO and social projects we work with for volunteer work and internship placement have a restaurant to get funds for their projects. So many times we go to eat in these social restaurants, to support the good work they do in Cusco.
Peruvian cocktail class
Peru has a famous cocktail which we know how to prepare. Pisco Sour is a cocktail made with Pisco. You can't go to Peru without trying a Pisco Sour. So we will learn you how to prepare it. And of course how to drink it...
Salsa classes
Always a hit. It doesn't matter if you can dance or not, everybody can take part in a beginners class of Salsa. Teachers from a professional salsa school in Cusco will come to the Spanish school and give a salsa class that will not only show you the basics, it's a lot of fun as well!
Contact us if you are interested in taking an intensive salsa course. We can arrange this for you.
Latin American movies
Proyecto Peru offers this activity in order to develop your listening and understanding of Spanish.
Typical Peruvian cooking class
Cooking classes take place in the Spanish school. We show you how to prepare a typical Peruvian dish, the explanation will be in Spanish. And of course we will enjoy the meal together!
