The activities included
in the programes are as follows:
+ Local Orientation
We will show you around to the most important places around town (banks,
ATMs, police station, local buses, etc). A brief explanation will be given
to you concerning all practical information you need to know such as cultural
differences, transportation, communications, safety, etc.
+ Welcome dinner
The first Monday night we will enjoy a meal together in a typical Peruvian
restaurant.
+ Peruvian culture and history classes
Proyecto Peru teachers develop these classes at the centre with the help
of videos and handouts.
+ Dance classes (Salsa, Marinera, Negroide, Huayno)
You are encouraged to take part in these classes and practice your Spanish
at the same time.
+ Latin American movies
Proyecto Peru offers this activity once a week in order to develop your
listening and understanding of Spanish.
+ Typical Peruvian Cooking Class
Cooking classes take place at the centre. We show you how to prepare typical
Peruvian dishes.
+ Book exchange
We have "El rincón del libro" where you can find a wide
variety of English and Spanish books as well other languages.
+ Free Internet
+ The Month´s activity
A trip, trek, hike, or a simple sports match will take place once a month
to help students get to know each other.
